Lifesaver Technology Services Inc. is a Kelowna-based software company — we build production platforms, AI voice agents, and automation for businesses across Canada that have outgrown the templates and want real software.
Lindsey Stead founded Lifesaver in Kelowna, BC in 2023 and incorporated it as Lifesaver Technology Services Inc. in British Columbia in 2026. She is the founder, CEO, and lead software developer — featured in Kelowna Capital News. The company builds AI voice receptionists, workflow automation, and custom software platforms for businesses, nonprofits, and public-sector organizations across Canada.
Lifesaver was built around a simple idea: businesses deserve systems that actually fit the way they operate, not the closest template a SaaS vendor happened to have on the shelf.
Every engagement starts with a technical audit of what actually needs to be built and ends with a system the client owns, operates, and scales on their own terms. We build with maintainability, documentation, and operational ownership in mind from day one. We can deploy, host, support, and maintain the systems we build when ongoing operational support is needed — but the code, the data, and the IP are yours. No retainer lock-in.
We're based in the Okanagan because operators here move fast, run lean, and have real problems worth solving. Building from a working market keeps us honest about what production software actually needs to do — not what looks good in a demo.
From the founder
I started Lifesaver in 2023 because I kept watching Canadian businesses sign up for SaaS that almost fit their workflow — then duct-tape the gaps. Custom software is cheaper than people think, and SaaS subscriptions add up faster than people realize.
My background is full-stack development — TypeScript, React, Node, Python, the LLM stack, and the messy real-world API plumbing in between. Before Lifesaver I worked in healthcare at Kelowna General Hospital and in cognitive research at UBC. Both jobs taught me that reliability, ethics, and clear documentation aren’t features you add later — they’re how you start the build.
We incorporated as Lifesaver Technology Services Inc. in British Columbia in 2026, but the work’s been the same since day one: small client list, deep relationships, no SDR layer. If you book a discovery call, you talk to me — not an account manager.

Founder & Lead Software Developer
Every line we ship is meant to run real businesses in three years, not win a pitch this week. Boring tech that works (n8n, Next.js, Vapi, Postgres) beats a flashy stack that breaks at scale.
Code, data, and IP all transfer to you at launch. No SaaS lock-in, no “we host it for $X/month forever” hostage situation. Reusable Lifesaver tooling gets licensed back to you at zero extra cost.
Hourly billing rewards slow work. We scope the deliverable, quote a number, hit it. If we miss something we didn’t flag, that’s on us — not a change order on your invoice.
We design for the person at the desk at 9pm fixing an order, not the buyer in the boardroom signing the contract. Software that respects the work is software that actually gets used.
When an off-the-shelf tool solves the problem cleanly, we’ll tell you. We’d rather be the people you trust enough to bring the hard problems to than the people you regret hiring for the easy ones.
Most software engagements fail the same way: the build doesn't match the actual workflow, and the vendor disappears at go-live. Two things in our process exist specifically to prevent that.
Let's talk about how we can help your business save time and grow.
Real Work, Real Impact
