A check-in system for food banks: visitors complete intake on a tablet in their language, and staff see who’s arrived, who needs help, and how the day is going — without paper lists.
Front desks were running the day from paper sign-in sheets and spreadsheets. Visitors who didn’t speak English got stuck in line. Staff couldn’t tell at a glance who had checked in, who still needed help, or how busy the day was — and sensitive visitor information was sitting in tools that weren’t built for that kind of data.
We built a tablet check-in for visitors and a dashboard for staff. Visitors walk through a simple guided flow in one of seven languages, can flag special requests, and get confirmation when they’re done. Staff see live check-ins, client records, help requests, reports, and volunteer schedules in one place. Daily appointment lists can be uploaded from the tools they already use. Same-day visit details are cleared automatically so personal information doesn’t linger longer than it needs to.
