Help Kelowna
The first live deployment of HelpBC — serving Kelowna, West Kelowna, Peachland, and Lake Country. Built in four months. Featured in Kelowna Capital News.
The Challenge
Vulnerable community members in the Central Okanagan struggled to find local resources — shelters, food banks, mental health services, addiction support. Information was scattered across dozens of websites and outdated PDFs.
Our Solution
A one-stop directory serving the four communities of the Central Okanagan. Anyone can browse verified local resources across dozens of service categories. Includes real-time open/closed status, interactive map, offline access, automated re-verification of listings, and referral workflows that filter by hours, cost, and proximity. Built and maintained free of charge as part of our annual community build.
