A single front door for BC residents looking for local help. HelpBC points people to their region's verified directory, starting with HelpKelowna in the Central Okanagan.

The problem
Service information in BC is spread across regional sites and outdated PDFs, so residents often don’t know where to start looking.
What it automates
Routing from one province-wide entry point to the verified directory for each resident’s region.
The result
One place to start for anyone in BC, backed by regional directories that are kept current.
We built HelpBC as a shared directory with local control. People can search verified services, see what’s open right now, use a map, and browse offline when needed. A quick-exit option helps keep users safe. Each region keeps ownership of its listings and partnerships, while Lifesaver runs the shared platform behind it. The first live area is the Central Okanagan, with more of BC rolling out next.
When someone needs help, they don’t have time to search fifteen different sites and outdated PDFs. Service information across BC was scattered by region, often incomplete, and hard to trust. Local partners also needed to keep control of their own listings.
